These are a few of my favorite things: Christmas Edition!

Merry Christmas Eve!! I'm stuck working today but thankfully it is a half day so it's not too bad.

I wanted to share with you today some of my favorite Christmas films. They are sooooo not the  traditional Christmas movies but I love them.

1. Gremlins: I love Gremlins. It is such a great film and Kate's speech about why she doesn't celebrate Christmas is priceless.

2. Batman Returns: Tim Burton's Batman films are amazing and I love Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman.

3. Die Hard: Nothing like a good action film to watch Christmas morning.

4. The Nightmare before Christmas: This is such a beautiful film. I love how it was made and hello, Halloween and Christmas combined? Yes!!

5. Home Alone: Okay, how many of you have dreamed of being home alone just like Kevin on Christmas morning when you were younger? Best Film ever. I was not a fan of the sequels though.

So there you have it, my favorite Christmas films. I told you, so not the traditional stuff but I love all of them! I also have a secret love of romantic Christmas films like the ones on the Hallmark channel. Shhh.... don't tell anyone!

What are your favorite films? I'm always on the lookout for new ones to watch.

  1. Batman Returns/The Nightmare Before Christmas and Home Alone have a three way tie for my favorite Christmas movies me thinks :) Haven't ventured into too many new ones. Coraline has a strangely festive vibe to me that I feel like I could add to Christmas and/or Halloween!

  2. Kate's speech in Gremlins is sooo sad and awful, it really makes it into a totally different movie, in the best way possible.

  3. Home Alone is my all time fave. I have watched it Christmas eve every year since I was a little girl. I saw Die Hard for the first time ever a week ago, very rad.
