Oh hey! I made stuff!!

In my down time of not having a laptop I made some stuff. Stuff that ended up being 3 things and a half.

The fourth item is unfinished because I had to special ordered pin backs to and what was told would take a week has now turned into three. I called and they are still on order.

Anyways but the three things I made were pretty awesome.

Cazz over at Nerd Burger sent me an awesome Lego ring that sadly lost it's battle against something and I was left with a just the base. She had shared a tutorial on how to make your own Lego Knuckle Ring and I decided to attempt my own!

When I was at Lego Land, they had a section where the sold lego pieces by the pound! I bought the pieces I wanted and went to work!

It took some trial and error to get the bases to line up to where I needed them but it's so awesome! I love the color choices. I'm debating if I want to glue some crystals on it or not!

I discovered rainbow loom on Stephanie's instagram and I bought a kit for L and I to use while she's visiting. I looked around youtube for different tutorials and I made a bunch. I found one where you could add letter beads and I made her a Hulk rainbow loom bracelet and she loved it. She's now asking for a Black Widow one. I'm trying to brain storm some ideas.

And if you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I made my first skirt from scratch! Mistah J's mom "helped" with the sewing because it was her machine and I am not to ruin it but I made the pattern, cut it all up, pinned it, and sewed it! It was made with black fabric and Powerpuff Girls bed sheet that I thrifted. I still have some of the sheet left and L wants some kind of purse. I actually found a hobo bag pattern from Simply Modern Mom. Let's see if it works!

What have you created lately?

  1. I'm so behind on all my projects. I have two cosplays that still need a ton of work and another craft project that I'll get to at some point. Where does all my time go?

    1. I feel you. I got pieces of cosplay parts from years ago that I never completed. I took a break for about 4 years and now I'm debating if I want to complete them or just sell them/re use the fabric.

  2. Very cute Rainbow Loom bracelet and that's a good tip about making knuckle rings (been itching make some for myself since I'm a jewelry fiend). I've been accumulating a lot of supplies but now need to find the time to do my crafts ... ;_;

    1. That's my problem!! I buy/collect things faster then I create. Afterwards, I'm left with so much stuff and I can't remember why I got them.

  3. I love your Powerpuff Girls skirt. Good job on it. I learned how to make Rainbow Loom bracelets from my little cousin last weekend. So addicting! Thinking about grabbing a kit for myself!
