Walt Disney World!

Back in June we took a trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando! It was my second trip there with Mistah J and friends. We did bring L with us. This was her first trip and she did not know about it!

We left on a Wednesday and took a red eye flight to Orlando. Mistah J had to pick up L in LA and I found us a connecting flight so we were able to met them at LAX. When my friends and I got there, we found out the he had ruined the surprise! He wrote in his DS that he was going to WDW and when it street passed her DS, she found out.

So we landed on Thursday morning and got picked up by the Disney Magical Express bus. We got to stay on property! Our hotel was All Star Animation and it was amazing! So pretty! We stayed in the Fantasia building. So we checked in and went off to the Magic Kingdom!

We decided to spend one day in each park instead of hopping around. The area is huge and you need to get on buses to get from one park to another. We spent it chasing L around, getting on as many rides as we could and while in line for Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride, we got hit with a down pour! It was coming down hard they closed down the rides. I guess thunder/lighting was making it's way over. Because of that, we don't have many photos from the first day. We didn't let the rain stop us though. We just kept finding indoor rides to get on.

On Friday we went to Disney Hollywood Studios for STAR WARS WEEKEND! We were so excited because at the last minute they added another weekend and it was during our trip! First on the list was our breakfast with the Star Wars villains. We saw Boba Fett, Jawa's, Stromtroopers, Greedo, and of course DARTH VADER! The Jawa's took my Instax camera and I had to chase the around the restaurant to get it back. It was so much fun!

We spent the rest of the day getting on rides like Star Tours, Toy Story Midway Mania, they got on Rock n Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror. They also had photo ops set up through out the park and we got photos with Princess Leia, Queen Amidala, Chewie and Paploo, The Cantina Band was out and about, Darth Maul, Jedi's, and other characters! We also managed to find Vanellope and Ralph too! Afterwards we had dinner with Mickey and friends and they were dressed up as Star Wars characters. I love character dinners and I don't care how old I am, I will go to them.

Saturday we went to Universal Studios which will be a post on it's own.

Sunday we went Animal Kingdom. I have a love/hate for that place. I love seeing all the animals but  hate seeing them there. I don't know how to explain it but Disney does seem to really care for them so I will that alone. We did the Safari Jeep Tour and it was great to see the animals. L had a great time pointing them out to us. We also rode Expedition Everest which is a roller coaster ride through a
mountain.  We also got to met Russell and Dug from Up and Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book. These were firsts for me.

I actually have a scrapbook with photos of all the characters I have met through out all of my trips.

Monday we went over to Epcot. Mistah J and I aren't huge fans of this park and were considering not going but we wanted L to get the over all experience so we went. The best part of it was trying all the food from the different countries since we are big foodies but after a while we could tell L was getting bored. We decided to try and track down characters, you know, turn it into a game. We got to met village Belle, Alice, Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie. Oh and we had funnel cake!! Lots of it! And I had drinks in Paris.

Tuesday we went back to the Magic Kingdom because I had managed to get us reservations at Be Our Guest restaurant. It was so hard to get it but at the last minute there was a cancellation. The food was amazing. It was expensive but so good. AND WE GOT TO TRY THE GREY STUFF! It was delicious. It was a cupcake with grey frosting but oh so good! We also got a chance to see Anna and Elsa. The lines for those two were crazy! And I got to see the Main Street Electric Parade. They no longer have it at Disneyland. It was lovely to see it again.

On Wednesday we ended up at Downtown Disney and went home on Thursday. It was a wonderful vacation! We all had a great time even though it was raining all week! It made the heat bearable but tough when the outdoor rides got closed down.

I can't wait for this Friday because it's out Halloween trip to Disneyland!! Yay!!!

  1. I hear ya on having mixed feelings about animal parks. I was so excited when we went to the Ueno Zoo, but by the time we'd seen everything I was starting to get really depressed. So many of the animals looks so unhappy.

  4. I love WDW! I actually love Epcot! Test Track is one of my favorite rides and I love walking around the world showcase. I waited THREE hours in line to meet Anna and Elsa... Ugh it was horrible but my nieces were happy once they got a photo with them!
