Read Play Blog: Gaming Wishlist and Recommendation!

Read Play Blog is a meme about video games and books, posted every 16th of the month. Bloggers are encouraged to answer a discussion question, and recommend a video game that is similar to a book they liked. Hosted by Happy Indulgence & Read Me Away.

I discovered this link up through Natalie Patalie and I had to join! Even though I am a day late with December, I still decided to answer it and I will for sure have something on the 16th of January!

What's on your gaming wish list?

Sunset Overdrive - I got to play this game at PAX this year and really enjoyed. It's a comedy first person game where the world is being over run with mutants. They were people who drank a really bad energy drink. You get to grind on wires, parkour off things, and try to survive. It's only for the XboX one which I don't own yet.

Dawn to Death -  I saw this game during the PlayStation Experience stream and it looks like so much fun. It takes place in a teenagers notebook so the entire world is sketched and you are one of four characters in this world. It's a shooter game but you're really just messing stuff up.

My Recommendation: Disney Infinity 2.0 featuring MARVEL

I love Disney Infinity. It's a fun family game and the figures are so well made. I figure that the newest release, Marvel would be the perfect gift for a family. Everyone can play and it's not violent at all. I mean, you are fighting as the Avengers to defeat the villains but there isn't any blood, gore, or around.

There are also three different play sets - Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-man. You have the game disc but you have to buy the figures to play as the characters. It's really cool because you could be running around as Rocket Raccoon but you can switch him out for Gamora and not have to restart the game. Not all figures work with each play set so keep that in mind when deciding. I personally own Avengers and GotG. I'm not a fan of Spider-man but you can buy any of the figures and play in the toy box building your own world and games but to play in their world, you need the playset.

It's a lot of fun!

Currently Playing: Lego Marvel Super Heroes

The game has been out for a while but we just started playing it. Lego makes some really great and funny games and Marvel is no exception. We also own the Lego Star Wars series and I really want to pick up the newest Batman one. If you're a fan of Marvel and a fan of Lego, you should get this game.

What are you currently playing? Which game/games are you hoping for Christmas?

  1. Yaaayyy I'm so glad you're doing this now too! It's my favorite link up <3 I haven't got to try Lego Marvel yet, but I love all the other Lego games so I'm sure it's great! I heard it has a lot of lesser known characters too which I think is awesome.
