Comic Bento!!

I have a thing for monthly sub boxes. I have a sub with Loot Crate and I have future ones coming from Collector Corp and Espionage Cosmetics!

I was on twitter when someone RT about a sub service named Comic Bento. Comics you say? I went to check it out and it's a monthly sub box of trades. Just like other sub services, it's all a mystery and you won't know what you are getting. I signed up for February because of their theme!

The theme was Feminine Mystique spotlighting Super girls, femme fatales, and more! I signed up for one month but they have three different tiers so of course, the more months you sign up for, the cheaper the box is.

My box finally showed up after being held hostage at my local PO sorting facility and here's what was inside!

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1: Wanderlost - Dark Horse

I'm not a Buffy reader or tv show watcher so I really don't care for this trade but a nice addition to the the collection! Trade is up for sale (10.00 shipped) or I'm willing to trade it for another trade!)

2. Miss Fury Volume 1 - Dynamite

This one sounds really interesting. Miss Fury is stopping Nazi agents from plotting whatever terrible thing they were planning and an accident happens and she ends up going forward through time... or does she? She may be going crazy instead of time hopping. Okay, I'm intrigued.

3. Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal - MARVEL

Ms. Marvel is actually on Jaime's pull list so we have the single issues but getting this book in this collection is great because it's such an amazing series. Also, now I can share this book around and not risk ruining his single issues.

4. Shutter Volume 1: Wanderlost - Image

I have not heard of this series but the tag line said "It's Indiana Jones for the 21st Century." Sold.

Out of the four books, one I didn't care for. The retail cost of these books is worth more then what you are paying for, even if you do month by month. I can't wait to sit down and read both Miss Fury and Shutter.

March's theme is Cloak and Dagger. I was going to skip it but my February one showed up prior to the March cut off and I enjoyed it so I'm gonna for another month.

I think it's worth it if you like getting monthly comic trades delivered to you and especially if you like the mystery of it all. I'm glad to be reading two new series I have never heard of!

Have any of you guys read these series? What are your thoughts on them? Have you heard of Comic Bento?
