FUNKO Friday: How do you display your Funko?

My addiction grows and I have plans to go to rehab for it! Hahaha.... Anyways, it's Friday and that means another post of FUNKO Fridays brought to the internet by Pepi and Kimi!

Today's topic is How do you display your Funko and well, can I say every where in my room?

No? Okay.... so I have sort of a mixture of how I display my Funko's especially depending who they are. Right now I have four different areas. The rest are in a box in storage because of limited space. (The life of a collector) I also don't keep any of my Funko's in boxes. None. Zip. Zlich. They are free. Enough with that, let us begin!

Random shelf of Funko!

These guys were the first purchases I made and they lucked out. I used a spice rack from the Container Store to show case them. It's an expandable one so it fits nicely on the shelf and it's 3 tier so you can see all the ones I have.

Harley Quinn!

I collect everything and anything Harley Quinn and Funko's are on that list. I am missing a few; Valentine's Day Harley, Black & White Black Friday chase Harley, Metallic Harley, and Black & White Harley (a comic shop ex). My Funko's are on my Harley Quinn shelf with the rest of my items. Looking at this shelf makes me happy.

STAR WARS!

I am Star Wars Trash and I am not afraid to admit it. Star Wars is the bulk of my collection and what I do have at home is on my desk. My desk had built in shelf and wires to hold books up but I didn't add those bells and whistles. I just added a 3-tier spice rack and tada! Star Wars Funkos!

My favorite set is the Jabba Palace which I did manage to finally grab so yay!!

So there you have it!! This is how I display my Funko's. Nothing fancy or special. Just everywhere lol!!

So this never posted and well, better late than never!!

I have two jobs!

Oh hey there straight to the point title. Which is probably telling you dear reader that I have a second job.

I'm working five days week at this new spot but it's part time. I also start at 4am so "yay me" that I can get out of bed that early to start my day. So why did I get a second job? What is wrong with me?

I over spent.

Aw yes, the joys of wanting everything and traveling everywhere. I over spent. I'm not in dire need of help or anything. I am still swimming above water but I needed some more cash to help me get out of the pool much faster.

I'm also paying my student loans now since I didn't attend classes last semester nor did I get into any this semester. I made the mistake of attending HEALD and well, I owe a lot. Student loans are a whole other subject and technically, they aren't suppose to hurt me credit wise.

Hello there city I have never been too!

I have many trips planned this year. Seattle, NYC, Washington DC, San Diego, and of course my trips to Disneyland. I know what you are thinking .... "how about you just don't go?" and I could but my wanderlust is strong and I want to travel.

I also have my RUN TO THE DARKSIDE and Japan trips next year so even if I go no where this year and pay off what I owe, I won't have much for next year. I have a method to my madness.

It wasn't just traveling that got me into this bind. It's also the collector side of me. I collect a lot of things and I want a lot of things. Clothes, clothes is also a big thing especially now that I can get actual geek wear that is tailored for women. Fitting my actual weird body is an issue but I make it work.

Sailor Moon FUNKO POP! Come to mama!

I got myself into trouble by taking too many trips, buying too many things, and not paying my cards fast enough. It was always "Oh I'll pay the minimum and then the balance next paycheck." It was "So and so paid me for their share of the hotel. I'll use the cash for the next con and then pay it off on the next paycheck." My favorite of course was "So and so is going to this city? LET ME BOOK A LAST MINUTE PLANE TICKET!!!"

You could say poor life choices but guys, I'm having fun. I'm experiencing things. I've gone to Japan. I've gone to London. I've gone to Paris. I've been to Seattle. I petted deer and got head butted by one, I saw Moochi get made while I was in Nara. I stood in the middle of the Globe Theater. I walked through Norte Dame in Paris. I have been to 4 out of the now six Disney Parks.  I got to met my internet friends all through out my con travels.

Disneyland Paris I will see you again!

Was getting into credit card trouble worth it? Yes. Even as I sell a lot of my clothes and collectibles online, even as I get up at 3am to be at work from 4am-8am and then work from 8-5pm (both places are two blocks from each other!)  Monday to Friday, even as I don't have energy to want to do anything lately. I wouldn't change it for the world.

So why am I telling you all this? Well, this is my blog which is about my life. I share all the trips I have done and all the things I buy but I'm not going to sugar coat it, I screwed up and it has gotten me in trouble. I also am sharing this because if you are in the same boat as me, I just want you to know that it's okay.

Things happen and life happens. It's okay if you went on that trip you shouldn't have or bought that Hot Toys figure because it's the only way you're going to get "insert woman character" here because Hasbro/Disney doesn't make any. (Sorry I ranted there for a moment!)

Yes it is!

So I made the choice to find a second job. It took a lot of work because I was looking since November but I got  so lucky and found one that didn't mind if I worked less than four hours a day. One that doesn't mind that I'm still going to take days off to do things. But I'm working to fix this mess that I got myself into.

Will I learn from it.... eh I'm not going to lie, probably not but I will be much better at paying my credit card. None of this "everyone gave me cash for their share of the room. I shall use it in the dealer's room and transfer the money later" junk. It doesn't help and guys, why did I even do that? That was the bill for the hotel room! I should of just paid in cash those few times I pulled that!

So yea, you're not alone if you are in this situation. I won't judge you and if you need a support team, I'm there for you! We can do this!

Small Goals {MARCH 2016}

Folks we have stepped into the month of March. I AM NOT READY!!! I don't know why but once we hit March, it feels like the year has jumped into high speed now.

With that little intro I am back with another Small Goals posts. Of course let us start off with "Did Gladys accomplish anything for February?" part of this post.

February Goals:

Read one book - I completely and utter fail at this goal. I'm not even gonna bother.

List more items on Mercari/Poshmark - I listed nothing on Poshmark but I did manage to list like 5 things on Mercari. I did get some sales on Mercari and cleared out some things so that was great. Poshmark was a lot of "Do you still have this for sale?" I mean, come on!! It's an active listing. If it's active that means it is for sale PLEASE BUY IT!! Yea, it's been a lot of asking me if I am still selling it and then a lot of I will bundle but nothing.

NO CLOTHES BUYING - I almost made it to the end of the month but cracked when we went into Hot Topic and they were having a buy one, get one free sale. They had both the Princess Leia and Darth Vader dress from her Universe so I had to. I got both for 45 with tax. But either way, I managed almost a month of not buying clothes.

Drink a glass of water each day - Well, I started off great, got sick so I was drinking liters every day. I even cut soda out for a whole week but then I started my second job and even though I am still drinking water each day, I have been drinking two cans of soda. *sigh*

Start and complete my taxes - Done and Done! The money has even arrive and is set aside to be distributed to whoever I owe money too.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I completed 1 goal for the month of February.

One.

I guess better than nothing. Just because I completed only one goal, this isn't going to stop me from making monthly goals. So with that written, here are my goals for March!

March Goals:

Discount everything on Poshmark - I decided I'm going to just mark everything down to 5 bucks on Poshmark and then close up shop at the end of the month. It doesn't matter if everything sells or not. I have better luck selling on Mercari.

Finish the layout for Fushimi Inari-taisha in my travel book - I started scrapbooking my trip to Japan last year and I hit a road block with this particular set of photos. I need to stop avoiding it and just finish it so I can work on more photos. I will not jump around in this album.

Clean out the DVR - Jaime and I both love watching @MIDNIGHT. The problem is we let the eps sit on our DVR and we have 2 months worth of them. Because of that the DVR complains if we let other shows sit there. I have 2 eps of THE FLASH and 4 of Jane the Virgin. Need to drop it down to 30% by the end.

Update my blog layout - I've had this layout for a year and I've been wanting to change it since January. I have found some great free layouts I can use I just need to get around to testing them, finding the right one, and making it go live.

EYE EXAM - It has been almost two years since my last one and I need to get on that STAT.

How was your February? Was it good to you? Have you decided on your goals for March yet?

Hope March is good to you and thanks for reading!
