Five Fandom Friday - My To Be Read Pile STAR WARS Edition

Five Fandom Friday is back!! If you don't know what Five Fandom Friday is, check out this post here for all the information.

Happy February everyone!! How's the first few days been treating you?! Are you good? Giving yourself some "me" time? Everything okay?

If you need anything let me know! I'm right here with and for you!

Last week's Five Fandom Friday was all about TV, this week it's about book. It all about the reading pile. What books do you have sitting next to you just waiting to be opened and indulged in? Which books are currently sitting in your Amazon wish list crying out for you to hit the buy button? Which books are you waiting to be released by the evil publisher so you can have it in your hot little hands?

Here is my to be read pile -

Star Wars Legends Tatooine Ghost by Troy Denning

I'm actually in the middle of reading this story right now. I never got into the books but I decided to give them a go and found out this one was a Leia centered story! I've heard mixed things about the stories that came out of the new called Legends collection so I'm not expecting much fro this. So far it's pretty good. This is my very first Legends book!

2Star Wars: Bloodline by Claudia Gray

Yup, Another Leia Organa story! I got this back on release day and I started reading it right away and I lost it. I'm so mad since it was a gift too. I got it replaced finally. I'm going to start on it after Tatooine Ghost.

3Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston

Ahsoka is one of my favorite character ever created in Star Wars. She made her appearance in Star Wars The Clone Wars and returned in Star Wars Rebels. I've always wanted to know what happened to her in between both series and this book talks about that. I'm excited to dive right in and read more adventures of Snips. Ashley Eckstein who voices Ahoska on the show also did the audiobook! I don't listen to audiobooks but I may this time!

4. Star Wars: A New Dawn by John Jackson Miller

This is a prequel to the Star Wars Rebels TV series and it introduces us to both Hera - pilot of the GHOST and Kanan - a Jedi. Getting some female characters in Star Wars is always an awesome thing. They are still lacking a lot (I'm looking at you Rogue One) but LucasFilms / Disney is getting a lot better. I'm excited to pick this one up to learn more about Hera and Kanan but a lot more about Hera!

5. The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher

This is NOT a work of fiction but the actual diaries kept by Carrie Fisher while she was working on Star Wars. I've been so eager to pick up this book and read it. I've heard so many great things about it. I love her writing; Carrie Fisher has such a way with words. I haven't bought it yet though because I told myself no more books until I read / sold some but it's sitting in my cart.

Yup, no surprise here that I have a lot of Star Wars theme books on my list to be read. Because of that I decided to just make this one a Star Wars edition. There are other books I want to pick up that are all over the range but I decided to focus it one thing.

Will I get to these books this year? I better. 2016 was such a terrible reading year and it was unacceptable. Just not cool at all. I need to read more for sure this year!

What's on your reading list? How big is your pile? What books do you recommend I check out? Let me know!
