Museum of Ice Cream - Sweet Magical Goodness!

Oh my god, I'm so glad I got to hear and get tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream!! They sold out so fast!! I was lucky enough to be able to get tickets for the same day we had our Scum and Villainy Cantina reservation so we would only have to make one trip to Southern California, not that I mind multiple trips but had to make it reasonable right now.

Our entry was at 11am and since our Megabus got in very early, we were able to hit up Chinatown to get some dim sum before making our way over to the Art district. We bought so much dim sum I was afraid I wouldn't have room for ice cream.

That fear was for nothing.

We were taken inside in groups and given a quick explanation of about the museum and what to expect. After that, we took our time going through all the rooms and of course taking massive amounts of pictures and eating ice cream! Jaime is lactose intolerant but he was such a good sport doing this experience with me. It also meant I got double the ice cream. The set up was one way only so they made it clear to experience everything in the room before moving on.

The rooms were so cute and magical.

The first room was all pink with pink phone on the wall. You could pick them up and listen to a recording. I can't tell you what it was about because I was freaking out over the room! All the rooms were so bright and colorful. The ones that had goodies for you to try were of course themed. There was a gummy bear room, a mint room that had mint mochi for us to try, black ice cream which was dairy free so Jaime was able to get the entire thing.

I think we spent a good hour and half inside the museum taking pictures, touching things, sniffing things, and eating lots of yummy items. Sadly tickets are completely sold out. I don't know if they will adding more dates. It's a pop up so maybe they may make a pit stop near you. They were in NYC last year I believe.

I wish I could go back!!

I also created a "vlog" of our visit. It's pretty much clips and music but it was fun to create this and I'm learning a lot. Give it a view please!!

Unearthed from my Closet: Galactic Royalty

I spent a Saturday in Los Angeles to visit the Scum and Villainy Cantina and Museum of Ice Cream. It was a perfect sunny day and since the main reason was visiting the cantina I had to wear something Star Wars.

Like I don't already everyday.

When Elhoffer Design created the Galactic Royalty collection and included this Galactic Princess cape, I knew I had to get it and wear it to the cantina. It is amazing, beautiful made, and was perfect for Los Angeles weather that month.

I lucked out and was able to find a dress that was pretty much the same color as the Bespin outfit that Leia wears. I'm considering make a belt to match the triangle piece she has on the outfit. That is one of my favorite outfits Leia wears in the triology and I was so excited that it was included in the Royalty collection.

Sunglass: Kohl's (Sold Out but another style here)

Small Goals {June 2017}

I would love to say that it's nice and warm but San Francisco decided to have rain today with a nice jolt of wind. Oh how I love you my favorite city by the bay.

I had a hard time coming up with goals for June. June is going to be a crazy month both work wise and personal. Also, working two jobs is starting to get to me. Right now I'm fighting from falling asleep as I type this.

It's going to be a long day but before I officially head drop into my key board, let me review my goals from May and see how I did!

May Goals:

Yoga - I did it!!! I can touch my toes again but I need to work on my strength. I don't have that.

Pay off one credit card - I actually paid off three of them! I was extremely broke both pay periods but yes!!

Purge the dresses - I purged half of my dresses. There is a pile that holds the "I love them too much to sell" but they need to go!

Purge the craft station - I threw away a box of items but those items weren't by my desk. Does that still count?

I'm trying really hard to get my apt back in order. Two geeks / collectors living together, it has gotten overwhelming and I'm losing my mind. So purging everything has been a part of my goals for the last few months. I may tackle this in a post soon but yea, I'm ready to light a match and start over.

And with that horror of a thought, here are my goals for this month!

June Goals:

Get blog posts for this month written up - I'm still trying to figure out how to do this but I would like to get them ready to go; edited photos and all

Do something (social media wise) out of my comfort zone - I'm not sure what this means officially but I know when I see it.

Purge the dresses - I didn't finish this goal but I'm going to re add it again. Those dress that I purged already and listed on Mercari have been selling so I need to keep adding more!!

I wanted to add purging the action figure / collections but I should finish purging the clothes 100% and get that craft desk done before I start something else. Also, selling toys even for mere dollars is a lot harder.

Here's to my goals and yours!! May we completed them all this month!

Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman. Now the world is ready for you...

Have you seen Wonder Woman yet? I am in love with this film. I saw it last Saturday and I cried. I cried when the credits started. I cried when I saw the Amazon women fighting / training. I cried during No Man's Land. I cried as she stood proud and tall.

I cried.

Wonder Woman did have a few parts here and there where I didn't like but I expect that from every film but this was finally a wonderful Superhero film. BvsS, Suicide Squad, & Man of Steel were so terrible though I give props to the Suicide Squad trailers team. You got me to drop 6 bucks. And after the Black Widow story in Age of Ultron, I was so tired of Superhero film. (Doctor Strange and Iron Fist are a whole can of worms that I won't even get into)  There is also Gamora and Wasp but we never saw Wasp in costume and both of those ladies are just a narrative in a man's story.

This is the women lead superhero film I have been waiting for my entire life. This is the story I've been wanting everytime I hear one of my favorite female characters get annouced / introduced into the films. I get teary eye just thinking about the younger generation and the future generation that get to see this film. Grow up with this film. They get to discover this film. I'm tired of seeing all the Batman and Superman reboots, revamps, and "hey it bombed but let's keep going" films. I only had (Lynda Carter) TV Wonder Woman and now I have this film.

I hope with the amount of money this film made opening weekend and how there is such a need and want for women Superheros, there will be more in the works and we don't have to wait another decade or more. I know Captain Marvel is coming from Marvel but that film has been pushed back and I hope that isn't the next major one we see in 2019-2020. We need more before than.

I want it on Blu-ray now. Can I get a digital copy of the film right now so I can watch it on my phone during my work breaks? And speaking of wanting the film now, I also created a list of some of my favorite Wonder Woman items out there right now. I know the lack of marketing and merchandise announcement was well, lacking but now that the film is out a lot has been popping up on my radar!

DC Comics Wonder Woman White Mini Handbag - I'm all about nice, geeky handbags and this white Wonder Woman handbag over at BoxLunch Gifts is the cutest. Though, it being white and my luck it's gonna get dirty

WONDER WOMAN X LOVE AND MADNESS - WONDER WOMAN MADNESS WRAP - Love and Madness creates the most amazing jewelry and their wrap bracelets are no joke. You know how much I love my Star Wars one so I was estatic when they annouced they were creating one for Wonder Woman fans. It comes in three colors and I want the red one!

Wonder Woman Sixth Scale Figure by Hot Toys - I own a few Hot Toys sixth scale figures and the attention to details is out of this world. They released both Wonder Woman in her main outfit and her training armor outfit. They are on the expensive side but totally worth it. Sideshow Collectibles sells them and even offers a payment plan and reward points!

Wonder Woman LIPSTICK-Amazonian Red - Walgreens came out with another Wonder Woman collection just in time for the film! I was wondering why no one was releasing a collection to tie in with one of the biggest film releases ever. Star Wars got a collection with CoverGirl and it wasn't even new or in theme colors. This collection offers lipgloss, lipsticks, eyeshadows, and a make up bag with brushes.

DC Comics Wonder Woman Logo Dinnerware Set - BoxLunch Exclusive - I'm all about fandom-fing my home and this dinnerware set is simple yet elegant with that gold design.

DC Comics Wonder Woman Ombre Skirt - Part of the Her Universe x Hot Topic release and designed by the winners of last years Her Universe fashion show, the ombre skirt is my favorite piece of this collection. Sadly it's pretty much sold out everywhere so I'm waiting for a restock!

Wonder Woman: The Art and Making of the Film - I'm all about art / making of film books and there is one for Wonder Woman. These books are really cool and add an extra element when it comes to film you really love. From the example pages it includes concept art, costume details and drawing, and more. The costume pages are perfect for those cosplayers!

Wonder Woman (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD UltraViolet Combo Pack) - And of course, Amazon has the film already available for pre-order!!

I really can't wait to see it again!!!

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017 took place on April 21-23. I had plans to attend the full weekend but when the chance to attend Star Wars Celebration fell into my lap, I wasn't going to go. My friend wanted to go on Sunday for the Grant Gustin / Tom Felton panel and for a photo with Felton, I told her I would go with her.

None of the panel that day called to me so while she did that, I walked the exhibit hall admiring some art, shopping, and taking photos of cosplays. The one thing I will mention is the space in the exhibit hall. There was room to walk. I never felt like I was hitting someone or being hit. I also didn't need to vanish and escape it because it got overwhelmed. They used up another room as well and it was great.

I only got two items, a Darth Vader and Leia print from Sho Murase and a Leia as a X-Wing pilot from Scott Joseph.

I'd occasionally go and check on my friend since the lines for both actual photo - ops and autograph lines were long. It took her most of the day to do her things but she got to attend the panel, get her photo, and even got a selfie and his autograph.

After that, we left and got a bite to eat.

Overall for the one day I was there, the con was pretty chill and pretty awesome. They boost a lot about science and technology being a big thing and it was. They even had a Space Village right in the middle of the exhibit hall.

Hopefully I'll get to attend the full show next year and not just one day. Enjoy more photos from SVCC 2017!
